Position Title: Functional Analyst
Pay Rate: 90-95$/hr Incorp
Job Description: Technical Functional Analyst Accountabilities:
- Become a subject matter expert in the API Product by understanding the end-to-end business client journey.
- Conduct market research to support the API Product in the discovery phase of new features and products.
- Draw insights from data to suggest product enhancements that will improve the user experience.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to deliver functional solutions, including translating business requirements into formal user stories and technical specifications.
- Manage epics and user stories within JIRA to reflect product strategy and roadmap and maintain high team effectiveness.
- Support Business Solutions and engineering teams in Pre-Sales meetings.
- Support business clients with onboarding to API Product suites.
- Update / Write Swagger and Open API Specifications.
- Document API features and processes using Lucid, and Confluence.
Technical Functional Analyst Requirements:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Business, design, communications, or software engineering background
- Enthusiastic and curious about the user experience
- Evidence of data-driven decision making
- Bonus: 1-2 years experience working in a business or technical role
- Bonus: Previous experience working as a Functional Analyst
- Bonus: Previous experience in digital banking, financial technology, or the banking industry

Project Description: Support the API C4E with the "API Product Progression" and "Integration Acceleration" programs. Functionally understanding API Products, development, integration, and security to support teams to create, sell, onboard, and support these products / workstreams.
Team size: Medium (5-15)
Number of Years Experience: 5
Level of Communication: 5
Anticipated Weekly Hours : 40
Work Location: Remote, preference for Alberta-based candidates but open to anywhere in Canada.
If Hybrid, How often will they be expected onsite?: Only for team meetings
Is travel expected?: N
Possibility of Extension?: Possibility for extension
