Print Production Level 3
emergiTEL is hiring a Print Production Operator Level 3. This is a Contract role for 11 months.
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Duration: 11 Months
Pay: $15.20 - $19.00/hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Position Summary: The Print Production Operator Level 3 is responsible for meeting customer requirements related to print production and finishing services within a customer location. The role involves operating large-format printing and finishing equipment to produce high-quality output efficiently and accurately. This position also serves as a backup Delivery Driver.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of finishing operations throughout the production process while maintaining quality standards and meeting established deadlines. Working closely with the production team, this role plays a key part in quality control to ensure customers receive flawless finished products while delivering exceptional customer service.

Major Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a backup Delivery Driver across the campus.
- Support production operations while ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
- Set up and operate specialized finishing equipment used to cut, fold, gather, and finish brochures, magazines, books, business forms, and other printed materials.
- Operate binding and finishing equipment, including:
- Paper cutters
- Inserters
- Laminators
- Hole punch machines
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain a valid Alberta Driver’s License.
- Maintain a clean Alberta Driver’s Abstract.
- Load, unload, and deliver completed print orders.
- Load, unload, and deliver printer supplies and paper inventory.
- Safely transport materials and products as required.
- Determine output requirements and machine setup requirements.
- Review proofs and production specifications before processing jobs.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on high-frequency service areas of production equipment.
- Monitor and manage production supplies and inventory.
- Assist with month-end billing entries and administrative production reporting.
- Maintain quality control throughout the production process.

- Black & White and Color Printers
- FreeFlow Software
- Paper Cutters
- Paper Drills
- Auto Punch Equipment
- Auto Coil Equipment
- Large Format Printing and Finishing Equipment
- Ability to operate large centralized digital production equipment.
- Ability to identify production inconsistencies and quality issues.
- Experience in a finishing environment and operation of finishing/binding equipment.
- Strong math skills, including multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Proficiency with PC applications in a networked environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow direction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License.
- Clean Alberta Driver’s Abstract.
