emergiTEL is hiring a Data Center Deployment Coordinator for our client in the telecommunications industry. This is a Contract role.
Compensation: $56 - $70/hour
Location: Mackenzie, BC

Job Description (English)
Required Competencies:

• Experience with data center (DC) deployment project management, including hands-on exposure
• Strong understanding of physical DC deployment (power, racks, servers, network, cabling)
• Participate in 3–5 preliminary calls during the pre-deployment phase to gain project familiarity and best practices
• Knowledge of DC deployment cycles
• Experience with networking technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Availability during the full project timeline (no significant vacation plans)
• 3–5 years of experience in data center support or infrastructure deployment
• Experience supporting Ethernet, InfiniBand (IB), network cabling, or high-performance computing (HPC) deployments
• Comfortable working onsite in data center environments
• Ability to support off-hours and weekend deployment activities
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting capabilities
• Ability to effectively support remote deployment teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain full-time, onsite presence in the data center (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, unless otherwise agreed)
• Participate in onsite stand-ups and meetings as required
• Assist client teams with validation tasks (e.g., cable reset, cable swaps, reboots)
• Manage daily data center deployment activities
• Supervise local contractors onsite
• Provide onsite support and act as client's operational oversight point
• Collaborate with project managers remotely and participate in daily calls
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and concerns
• Represent client in front of the customer
• Deliver daily and weekly progress reports
• Manage escalation cycles and ensure timely issue resolution
• Prioritize tasks effectively while multitasking with minimal supervision
• Coordinate Ethernet, IB, HPC, and network cabling deployments
• Support remote deployment teams with onsite coordination
• Track deployment progress, verify completion, and escalate blockers
• Provide End-of-Business (EOB) status updates and attend coordination meetings
• Support irregular hours, weekend work, and urgent activities when required
