EndPoint Security Engineer

emergiTEL is hiring an Endpoint Security Engineer for our client in the Information Security industry. This is a Contract role.
Compensation: $64 - $80/hour
Location: Toronto

Job Description (English)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Endpoint Security Engineer to administer, deploy, integrate, and support enterprise endpoint security solutions across large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain endpoint security platforms, including agent deployment, upgrades, policy management, and troubleshooting.
  • Support enterprise-wide security software rollouts across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • Coordinate deployments with Infrastructure, Desktop Engineering, and Security Operations teams while following ITIL change management practices.
  • Test and validate security solutions prior to production deployment.
  • Integrate security platforms with Microsoft Entra ID, Splunk, SIEM, reporting, and ITSM solutions.
  • Support mobile security initiatives using Microsoft Intune and/or IBM MaaS360.
  • Develop SOPs, runbooks, operational procedures, and management reports.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Cybersecurity or Endpoint Security experience.
  • Hands-on administration experience with at least two of the following:
    • CrowdStrike Falcon
    • Lookout Mobile Security
    • FireEye HX / Trellix HX
  • Experience deploying and managing endpoint security technologies in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security architecture, operational best practices, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience integrating security platforms with Entra ID, Splunk, SIEM, and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and change management processes.
  • Experience supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Intune or MaaS360.
  • Experience with security automation and APIs.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CrowdStrike, Trellix, or Microsoft Security certifications.
