emergiTEL is hiring a Mail Associate (Level 1) for our client in the Document Management and Business Services industry. This is a 4-Month Contract role.
Compensation: $14.36 - $17.95/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using fax, air express, freight, and postal services.
- Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies; notify recipients of deliveries.
- Perform basic printing using color production printers.
- Record and process accountable mail information and maintain logs.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities using automated tracking systems.
- Arrange alternative courier and shipping services to meet customer requirements.
- Determine packaging requirements according to established standards.
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate mailroom equipment including inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment.
- Perform quality checks on outbound mail.
- Complete charge-back reporting for postage, courier services, local deliveries, and fax usage.
- Perform mail labeling and mail merge activities.
- Process electronic mail distribution, including opening, preparation, scanning, and distribution.
- Perform fulfillment activities such as assembly, packaging, and preparation of kitted materials.
- Follow all mailroom security procedures.
- Log, transmit, receive, and distribute fax communications in a timely manner.
- Deliver and collect mail on scheduled routes.
- Recommend workflow improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Track, trace, and resolve mail-related issues and concerns.
- Monitor, order, and replenish inventory and supplies.
- Ability to stand and walk for approximately 80% of the workday.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to learn new processes and procedures.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional work environment.
- Experience in a client-facing environment.
- Previous dock experience is considered an asset.
- Experience operating lift trucks and other material handling equipment is considered an asset.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Education verification required.
- Ability to work in a physically active environment and handle mailroom operations efficiently.
- Security clearance may be required depending on assignment.
