This is a Permanent role.
Location: Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Mill – Corner Brook, Newfoundland, CA
Role: Maintenance Supervisor
Salary range: $100,000-$120,000
Industry: Pulp & Paper
Reporting To: Maintenance Superintendent
Overview:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day execution of all maintenance activities in the mill.
  • Supervises members of the mechanical trades team.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and promote company safety and environmental policies.
  • Coach and support the maintenance team on leadership values and work assignments.
  • Ensure equipment availability and reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in team-based problem-solving initiatives to address operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate work history documentation within the Maintenance Management System.
  • Support and monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or a Red Seal certification in a relevant trade.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a pulp and paper environment is considered an asset.
  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Technology experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Successful candidate must provide a Certificate of Conduct from a local police agency or the RCMP prior to employment.
