emergiTEL is hiring a GCP Platform Specialist for our client in the Financial Services industry. This is a Contract role.
Compensation: $64 - $80/hour

Job Description (English)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Platform Specialist to join our Data Platform team on a contract basis.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the operational stability and performance of the data platform and infrastructure.
  • Assess current monitoring and alerting capabilities across the GCP environment.
  • Design, implement, and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Roll out monitoring and operational improvements to the broader team.
  • Support and optimize data pipelines running in BigQuery and Composer.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document solutions, and communicate recommendations.
Required Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
    • BigQuery
    • Composer
    • Cloud Monitoring
    • Cloud Logging
    • Error Reporting
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing monitoring and alerting solutions in GCP.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, including:
    • ETL processes
    • Streaming data
    • Data orchestration tools
    • CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python.
  • Experience automating tasks, integrating APIs, and developing monitoring solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
