This is a 01 Year Contract role.
Rate: $40 -$44/hr INC. 
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Description:

• Lead work in customer environments and co-location data centers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Conduct daily audits of work performed on behalf of Ericsson at customer data centers and co-locations.
• Provide immediate feedback and direction to third-party (3PP) technicians.
• Interface directly with customers via ticketing tools and face-to-face interactions, delivering clear updates and reports.
• Support fiber installation, decommissioning, remediation, migration, and break/fix activities.
• Perform and/or supervise optical testing and troubleshooting using tools such as:
  • Optical power meters
  • Stabilized light sources
  • VFLs (Visual Fault Locators)
  • OTDRs (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers)
  • Test sets
• Execute work based on Methods of Procedure (MoPs), engineering documentation, vendor specifications, and network diagrams.
• Interpret cut sheets and physical network design documents to ensure accurate port connectivity and cable management.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence across all activities.
• Travel to non-home sites as required (up to 25%), including extended stays.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for customer interactions.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and documentation skills (Microsoft Office and customer systems).
• 3–15 years of experience in data center operations or a similar technical environment.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling (single-mode, multi-mode, LC connectors, fan-outs, structured cabling).
• Proven experience in optical testing and transport troubleshooting.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast-paced, high-availability environments.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality assurance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
