emergiTEL is hiring a Cloud Software Developer for our client in the financial services industry. This is a Permanent role.
Compensation: $130,000 - $145,000 per year
Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description (English)

• Develops scalable and accessible business cloud applications.
• Designs, develops, enhances, tests, debugs, and maintains cloud-based applications.
• Migrates existing applications to the cloud and builds new cloud-native solutions.
• Creates and maintains applications using multiple programming languages.
• Integrates various data sources while addressing compatibility and security concerns.
• Designs and implements cloud-native software to solve business challenges.
• Maintains applications and infrastructure for cloud-based platforms.
• Supports strategies to improve cloud performance and efficiency.
• Develops workflows and processes aligned with cloud architecture best practices.
• Understands cloud services, architectures, and SLAs to build scalable solutions.
• Produces documentation and operational instructions for cloud computing processes.
• Establishes development environments and CI/CD pipelines using modern practices.
• Translates user needs into technical specifications and solutions.
• Provides consulting, analytical, and technical support within the organization.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves complex technical issues independently.
• Works on non-routine challenges and exercises sound judgment.
• Applies risk management frameworks to protect assets and ensure compliance.
• Adheres to organizational policies, regulations, and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
• Advanced expertise in cloud computing, software development, scripting, and SDLC.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with cloud storage solutions.
• Intermediate proficiency in IT automation, databases, configuration management, SaaS, PaaS, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and modern development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated learning agility, creativity, and emotional intelligence.
