Compensation: $225,000 - $275,000 USD per year

Job Description
Your Team, Your Impact
- Join the Central Engineering organization, the core IP hub supporting Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking business units.
- Be part of a PCB engineering team designing advanced validation and reference boards for next-generation high-speed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design PCIe Gen5/Gen6 reference and validation boards.
- Define signal integrity (SI) specifications and design guidelines.
- Perform SI simulations and analysis for high-speed designs.
- Collaborate with package, RTL, SI/PI, and characterization teams.
- Design and implement power architectures (low-voltage, high-current SMPS).
- Capture schematics and guide PCB layout execution.
- Support chip bring-up, validation, and debugging activities.
- Develop enterprise server reference platforms using PCIe CEM and EDSFF.
- Select components, connectors, cables, and clocking solutions.
- Work with external vendors and customers on design implementation.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5–10 years of experience, or Master’s/PhD with 3–5 years of experience.
- Proven experience as a Lead Signal Integrity Engineer.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals.
- Expertise in high-speed differential pair design (PCIe Gen4/Gen5/Gen6, PAM-4).
- Experience working with 25 Gbps SERDES.
- Hands-on experience with SI/EM tools (e.g., Cadence Sigrity, Ansys HFSS, ADS, HyperLynx).
- Knowledge of PCB design challenges for high-speed interfaces.
- Proficiency with HSPICE, TDR, and real-time oscilloscopes.
- Ability to define SI constraints for PCB routing and layout teams.
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with power integrity (PI) analysis and simulations.
- Familiarity with SMPS power design (multi-phase regulators).
- Experience with cloud compute systems and enterprise server platforms.
- Knowledge of mechanical design concepts.
- Experience working with package design and chip vendors.
- Familiarity with tools such as QSI/QDC or VBA scripting.
- Experience supporting board bring-up and validation labs.
