Qualifications
Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
Experience: Minimum of five years relevant work experience in mechanical engineering

Skills and Competencies
Technical experience and competencies:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Design and engineering analysis of mechanical systems and components,
Basic mechanical stress/strength calculations,
Design, prototyping, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical or electromechanical equipment used for manufacturing processes,
Simple thermal analysis and calculations

Overtime is required.

Able to travel internationally (required to travel an average of 60 -90 days per year).
Nordion requires pre-employment medical screening to be accepted as cleared prior to start date.
Background verification includes FBI fingerprinting and criminal record check
Valid Canadian passport.
Valid driver’s license.
