emergiTEL is hiring a Project Manager – Procurement Systems for our client in the financial services industry. This is a Contract role.
Compensation: $84.00 – $105.00/hour INC

Role Overview
The Project Manager – Procurement Systems will lead complex, high-visibility procurement technology initiatives, partnering closely with business, technology, and third-party stakeholders. This role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of enterprise procurement system implementations and integrations, ensuring scope discipline, quality execution, and measurable outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with Technology Enablement, Business, and third-party stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Lead procurement system implementations and integrations (Ivalua, Coupa, Ariba, SAP Procurement, or similar platforms)
- Manage enterprise SaaS implementations and vendor management platform rollouts integrated with ERP systems
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to align delivery with portfolio goals and quality management standards
- Develop and execute detailed project plans including timelines, resource planning, and budget oversight
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide clear, data-driven reporting on milestones, risks, financials, and overall project health
- Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and strong stakeholder alignment
- Produce and maintain high-quality project artifacts to ensure continuity, transparency, and audit readiness
- Perform rapid “week one” discovery to surface hidden risks and dependencies
- Actively manage scope creep while maintaining stakeholder confidence and satisfaction
- Provide candid, objective feedback on timelines, risks, and delivery health
- Ensure documentation is precise and complete so project continuity is maintained if handover is required
Required Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification
- 6+ years of experience leading IT projects focused on business process and organizational change
- 3+ years leading cross-functional teams on large-scale, high-impact initiatives
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement system implementations (Ivalua, Coupa, Ariba, SAP Procurement)
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience managing internal development teams and third-party vendors
- Proficiency with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Strong ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex stakeholder environments
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence and lead without formal authority
- Tool-agnostic mindset with adaptability across platforms and environments
- Strong focus on outcomes, milestones, and delivery quality
