Location: Broussard (Can be on-site or remote)
Length: 6 Months Contract (Possibility of extension)
Part Time: Approx. 22,5 Hours/ Week (3 Days a week)
Rate: 70/hr-75/hr


The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Project Manager / Environmental Projects Specialist to support both business development and the execution of environmental projects.

This is a dynamic, cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Project Analysis & Business Support

  • Analyze client project requirements, review technical documentation, and identify missing information
  • Support the development of pricing proposals by understanding scope, risks, and client needs
  • Track and follow up on bids, including turnkey and high-value project opportunities

Client & Supplier Management

  • Act as a key point of contact between clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and clients to ensure project profitability
  • Maintain strong relationships to support ongoing and future business opportunities

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Open and manage contracts for disposal sites and coordinate project activities
  • Plan and structure soil and material disposal operations with clients
  • Conduct site visits as needed to support execution and compliance

Financial & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall financial performance
  • Identify risks and proactively manage project outcomes to ensure profitability

Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all activities meet environmental regulations and health & safety standards
  • Manage traceability and documentation for materials and disposal activities

Continuous Improvement & Development

  • Participate in multidisciplinary environmental projects
  • Continuously build technical and project management expertise through training and mentorship
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency

Client Satisfaction

  • Ensure delivery against timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness

Qualifications

Required

  • Educational background in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in:
    • Project coordination or management
    • Technical sales or client-facing roles
    • Environmental services (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills (technical + financial)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites

Assets

  • Bilingual (English & French) – strong asset
  • Experience with environmental compliance, waste management, or soil/material disposal projects
 

Compensation

  • 70/hr-75/hr
