About the Role
The Installation & Service Representative is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of Nordion’s Cobalt-60 sterilization equipment, a critical product used in medical and surgical disposable sterilization. This role involves global travel, customer-facing duties, and cross-functional collaboration on projects related to industrial sterilization equipment. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality service delivery while contributing to operational efficiency and safety compliance.
Leadership & Operations
- Install, maintain, repair, and service Cobalt-60 sterilization equipment
- Coordinate field service activities and support project execution related to industrial sterilization equipment
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective operations and customer satisfaction
- Travel extensively, both domestically and internationally (average ~180 days/year)
- Work overtime as required to meet operational or project deadlines
Training & Professional Development
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear systems relevant to Cobalt-60 sterilization equipment
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards while performing field service tasks
What You’ll Need
- Millwright license (433A) or Instrumentation Technician license (447A); 4th-year apprentices may also be considered
- Experience in field service or project coordination in nuclear, electrical, or mechanically focused projects is an asset
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel extensively and work independently in customer-facing environments
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $85,000 – $100,000 per year. Additional compensation includes performance bonuses, overtime pay, and a data allowance, with total annual compensation estimated at $130,000 – $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
