IGE Data Auditor
Toronto, Ontario, Canada | Full-Time, Permanent | Hybrid
Salary: $105,000 – $115,000 per year + Full Benefits
About the Role
The IGE Data Auditor is responsible for acquiring, transforming, analyzing, and visualizing raw systems data to support audits, internal projects, and continuous monitoring initiatives. This role enables automation of audit testing to increase coverage, depth, and speed, providing higher levels of assurance. The Data Auditor documents reusable queries and analytics, performs audit work as needed, and provides guidance on improving audit coverage through data-driven insights.
Leadership & Operations
- Identify and acquire necessary data from relevant source systems to support IGE audit analytics
- Design, document, and build data analytics scripts to meet specific audit objectives, ensuring reusability for continuous monitoring
- Contribute to audit planning, analyzing data and identifying areas for automation of testing
- Present automation proposals to IGE management for existing processes or testing
- Collaborate with audit teams to design and execute data-driven testing
- Expand and maintain the library of Python automation scripts used in continuous monitoring
- Maintain and update a data tools inventory, including code, user guides, and documentation
Client Advisory & Continuous Improvement
- Perform continuous monitoring of portfolios and business lines, analyzing data and trends to strengthen internal control assessments
- Prepare committee presentations summarizing findings from continuous monitoring initiatives
- Actively participate in global initiatives and knowledge communities to improve Internal Audit processes
- Build and share knowledge through contributions to internal platforms, presentations, and methods projects
- Provide support and training to audit teams on interpreting analytics results
Training & Professional Development
- Regularly train on banking and regulatory matters
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data tools (Python, PowerBI, Dataiku)
- Complete all mandatory trainings within assigned deadlines
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in data analytics, audit, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of Python, PowerBI, and Dataiku
- Experience with data acquisition, transformation, automation, and visualization for audits or continuous monitoring
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to audit teams and management
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Compensation
The salary for this position is $105,000 – $115,000 per year. Additional compensation includes full company benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
