Software Development Manager - SDM - TI290126

Required skills:
● Experience as  Software Development Manager   (1+)
● IT PM proven experience
● Experience planning and leading projects - all project phases (4+)
● Experience leading IT Projects of any kind - Infrastructure, Transformation,
Application Development (5+)
● Microservices experience like GCP, AWS or Azure (AWS is preferred)
● Knowledge of Google Spreadsheets including capabilities to produce
presentations and data models including analytical tools (formulas, VLookUp,
charts, graphs and pivot tables) (2+)
● Demonstrated analytical, consulting, negotiation and problem-solving skills (2+)
● Demonstrated experience producing and maintaining project documents and
processes (3+)
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering,
Information Systems or Applied Mathematics, or equivalent education and/or
experience.
● Ability to clearly and effectively communicate messages

 

Overview We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the BTV PMO team, leading the migration of 300 customers from a legacy BTV platform to a new platform within a 12-month timeline.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the project across its full lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close)
  • Define project scope and objectives, secure appropriate resources, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Manage project financials
  • Handle conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies, and change control
  • Map project processes, identify and resolve process gaps, and ensure deliverables adhere to quality standards
  • Communicate project status effectively to cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and executives
  • Manage client relations and expectations

Must Have

  • Strong communication and leadership skills — excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven project management expertise including planning, coordinating, and executing across multiple functional areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of driving operational efficiencies

Nice to Have

  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CSM
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving strategic, cross-functional programs
  • Working knowledge of Fibre Optic TV services and legacy TV systems
  • Previous experience managing Telecommunications projects
  • Prior experience working within a Telecom company
