Work Arrangement: Onsite
Hours: 7.25 hours/day (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, excluding lunch)
The Business Intelligence Specialist supports enterprise-wide reporting and analytics needs by designing, developing, and maintaining BI and data solutions. The role focuses on data analysis, ETL development, reporting, and data quality, helping stakeholders turn raw data into meaningful insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
Design, develop, and support Business Intelligence solutions using BI tools and platforms
Develop customized queries, reports, dashboards, and drill-down analytics
Support scheduled and ad-hoc reporting, alerts, and data-driven notifications
Analyze source system data to identify data quality, completeness, and integrity issues
Design and implement ETL processes (initial and daily loads) across multiple data sources
Develop monitoring and error-handling processes to ensure reliable data refreshes
Build automation scripts for data extraction, cleansing, and loading
Support stakeholders by translating business requirements into BI solutions
Create and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical)
Document BI solutions, data flows, and interface specifications
Hands-on experience designing and developing BI solutions
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and/or OBIEE
Strong understanding of large-scale BI and data warehouse design principles
Experience generating scheduled and ad-hoc analytical reports
Strong experience with ETL architecture, design, and development
Hands-on experience with Microsoft data platforms, including:
SQL Server ETL
SSIS
Azure Data Factory
Oracle (ETL and data integration)
Experience managing ETL scheduling, dependencies, and monitoring
Experience developing data extraction, transformation, and load processes
Ability to troubleshoot ETL failures and data inconsistencies
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience analyzing source data to identify:
Missing values
Duplicate records
Invalid or inconsistent data
Experience with data cleansing and feedback processes to correct source data
Experience with data modeling using tools such as Power Designer and Visio
Experience with UML, process mapping, and business process re-engineering
Knowledge of information management principles, standards, and best practices
Experience producing enterprise architecture deliverables (business, logical, physical models)
Experience working with stakeholders to define data interfaces and reporting needs
Experience developing data analysis or analytics applications
Experience providing advisory support to improve business processes using data
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., AODA/WCAG)
Experience working in structured, highly governed environments
