Vendor Manager
Role Overview
Strategic procurement professional responsible for managing vendor relationships and sourcing strategies across shared services categories, including facilities, field services, home services, supply operations, and mobile technologies. The role also supports Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) initiatives, focusing on the consolidation of vendor contracts for newly acquired companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive cost reduction, process efficiency, and overall value creation.
- Vendor Management: Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with business objectives and service-level agreements.
- Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and administer commercial contracts to ensure compliance and protect organizational interests.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement objectives with operational needs and business goals.
- Market Intelligence: Leverage industry trends and market insights to make informed procurement decisions and identify competitive advantages.
- M&A Project Support: Lead contract consolidation efforts for newly acquired companies—review vendor contracts from the acquired organization, compare with existing client's agreements, identify savings opportunities and operational synergies, and amend, renew, or close contracts as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
- Vendor and supplier relationship management
- Strategic sourcing and supply chain management
- Contract structuring and negotiations with large organizations
- Leading competitive bidding processes (RFX)
- Telecommunications industry experience (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Technical: Proficient in negotiating various service agreements; exposure to automation and AI in procurement processes.
- Strategic: Expertise in negotiation, strategic sourcing best practices, and vendor performance management.
- Business: Strong financial acumen, deal structuring, and risk mitigation capabilities.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, cross-functional team leadership, and change management skills.
- Tools: Skilled in Google Suite, e-procurement platforms, and contract management systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as SCMP, CPP, or ISM are considered strong assets.

The role will support Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities, specifically focusing on the consolidation of vendor contracts for one of our cleints’ newly acquired companies. Responsibilities include reviewing vendor agreements from the acquired organization, comparing them with existing contracts, and identifying cost-saving opportunities and operational synergies. The selected candidate will also be responsible for amending, renewing, or closing contracts as needed to align with our clients standards and strategic objectives.
