Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

​Our client, a dynamic and growing global investment bank ​is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) ​to join their team innMontreal. This is a senior-level role where you will drive strategic HR initiatives, foster a culture of excellence, and contribute to organizational success. As a trusted advisor to leadership, you will shape HR strategies that enhance talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives to drive high performance and strong employee engagement.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including strategic headcount planning, talent acquisition, and offer negotiations.
  • Oversee comprehensive onboarding and offboarding programs to ensure seamless employee transitions.
  • Drive talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, and leadership development, while managing the Global Markets Analyst and Intern programs.
  • Partner with department heads and global HR teams on talent reviews, skills assessments, and development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, coaching managers on performance matters, and collaborating with external counsel as needed.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and annual promotion exercises, ensuring alignment with market data and performance metrics.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on complex HR challenges and organizational initiatives.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, fostering a culture of respect and belonging.
  • Ensure compliance with Quebec labor laws, managing employee mobility and career development programs.
  • Act as a change leader, driving continuous improvement and organizational transformation.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred. Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in the financial sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Prior experience supporting sales and trading functions is a strong asset.
  • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to inspire, influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic Mindset: Experience in leveraging HR metrics and data-driven insights to shape HR policies and initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to addressing HR challenges.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of navigating change effectively.
