The Financial Analyst is a key point of contact for government agencies such as CRA, MRQ, CNESST, WCB.

Your passion, strong payroll accounting expertise and knowledge and exceptional collaboration and communication abilities are strengths that will be critical in the delivery of our services. You will be accountable to support payroll financial reporting to ensure we meet all third party, collective agreement and legislative requirements, and work with finance to provide support with month end reports.
Here's how
● Execution and/or support of our biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll accounting functions
o Responsible for quarterly submission to Finance of the vendor analysis; LTD reallocation, WBC and EHT reconciliations
o Meet both internal and external auditor’s Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements
o Ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation, collective agreements and company policies
o Accountable for the accuracy, limit in use and protection of team member data within your role
o Respond to NOAs from Revenue Quebec and process payments as required.
o Leverage and enhance our use of the SAP/Success Factors payroll and financial systems to support your deliverables
o Support Manager with strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to provide operating results and variance analysis
o Identify, develop and drive process improvements forward by creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, Excel and dashboards
o Other Ad-hoc requests from the business
o Identify, develop and implement simplification and everyday innovation as part of our everyday culture
o Maintain our compliance adherence brand both internally with audit and externally with government and audit agencies to prevent penalties for non-compliance
o Provide expertise in payroll accounting and HR business processes and related system requirements for HR and payroll financial operations
o Analyze past results, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement by compiling, reporting on payroll financial data which will be used to implement more effective operational strategies
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
● Valued for your 5+ years in an accounting position with compliance, continuous education and experience, in both federal and provincial environments, preferably within large corporate organizations
● Proficiency in Excel and SAP/Success Factors HR and Finance modules
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with the ability to influence others at all levels in the organization
● Passionate in ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables, supported by commitment-based management
● Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day deliverables
● Knowledge of accounts payable, forecasting, budgeting and accounting principles and payroll legislation
● A track record of executing and delivering on agreed upon objectives
Nice-to-haves
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
● Payroll Compliance Professional
● Bilingual in English and French, both written and oral
● Experience in a unionized environment
