Job description:
The client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Organizational Change Management (OCM) Leader to join their IT organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a new OCM practice for the client and will play a key role in managing the change process.
The OCM Manager must have a deep and broad understanding of change management principles and their applications, in order to apply this expertise to projects across the global portfolio and other related initiatives requiring end-user support. This role will be responsible for building and leading an OCM community of practice to ensure continued alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and priorities, while reinforcing consistent OCM methodologies, practices, tools, and training. The OCM Manager will report to the Senior Director, IT Governance and Planning and will be assigned to strategic projects and programs.
·Develop and implement a strategic OCM framework, methodology and tools for the organization of IT services;
·Lead and mentor other OCM specialists and consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning and innovation;
·Establish and maintain an OCM community providing guidance, best practices and resources for OCM practitioners and stakeholders within the organization;
·Design and deliver OCM training and coaching for IT professionals to improve their OCM skills and capabilities;
·Manage and execute OCM activities and plan recommendations for multiple concurrent project objectives, in terms of scope and schedule;
·Conduct stakeholder analyses, change impact assessments, change readiness assessments and change measurements as needed;
·Develop and implement communication, engagement and adoption strategies and tactics, ensuring stakeholder engagement and buy-in;
·Identify and manage OCM risks and issues, escalating and resolving them as necessary;
·Work with HR to create mechanisms to encourage the new desired behaviors. This process may include redesigning jobs and defining new behavioral competencies and performance criteria;
·Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of OCM interventions, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement;
·Report on the status and progress of OCM projects and programs, highlighting achievements, challenges and lessons learned.
