5G Packet Core Engineer(Senior Engineer)- ERCSJP00058082

Responsibilities and Task
• A minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience in any functional role that has exposed the individual to successfully leading and completing projects.
• Manage Network Operations on a 4G/5G CORE
• Lead Assurance activities to include Incident Management, Problem Management, Performance Management, Change Management, and other Service Operations functions
• Fault handling & irreversible corrective actions
• Thorough knowledge of 4G and 5G nodes including Architecture config and functionalities.
• Integration, configuration and troubleshooting of 5G/4G Packet core nodes, networks and solutions at the customer premises or remote
• + 2~3 years’ experience on Ericsson Packet Core Products.
Must have +3 years industry experience. Solution Architect/Solution Integrator/Level 3 equivalent is preferred.
• 3GPP knowledge including 2G/3G/LTE Service Flows
• Pro-active maintenance activities
• Project activities, implementing / adapting (new) E2E service functionalities, nodes, and services
• Provide reporting on multiple platforms, correlating data from multiple sources
• Secure that the delivered solution is properly implemented and works according to the Requirements
• Verification, integration and troubleshooting of complete End-to-End solutions in a Multi-vendor Set-up
• Provide Solution Support including handling of Helpdesks and Customer Support Requests
• Preparation and execution of supply and acceptance projects with the customer
• Commissioning and integration of new sites
• Preparation, verification and execution of Software upgrades and updates
• Close cooperation with the different Ericsson organizations and third-party suppliers
• Perform Configuration Management, i.e. generating and updating customer solution documentations and descriptions
• Fault handling and corrective actions on node, service and infrastructure level
• Provide input, implement and verify improvements in processes and work instructions
• Verify and implement configuration changes
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills.
• Highly adaptive and flexible to changing environments and priorities. Multitasking.
• Knowledge of network management tools.
• Perform impact analysis, method of procedure review, implementation and verification of change management activities
• Provide regular project status and issues for escalation.
• Be aware and adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations, in accordance with legislation and related policy.

Positions Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
• 5-10 years of experience in Network/IT Operations for Telecom company
• Expertise, knowledge of operation and troubleshooting of ENM/Domain coordinator, packet core node, SGSN,MME, EPG SSR, vEPG and EPG WMG nodes in a virtual environment (openstack)
• Knowledge on all 5G CORE platforms and call flows – PCC (AMF, SMF.MME, SGW,PGW), PCG (UPF, PCF,SGW,PGW), CCRC (NRF,NSS), CCES (NEF), CCSM (AUSF,EIR,UDM), CCDM (UDR)
• Knowledge of overall CORE solution on node and network level
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (openstack and Kubernetes)
• Knowledge in SCTP, Diameter, TCP/IP and all IP technologies
• Linux working knowledge (file system, bash scripting, crontab)
• Work experience in a telecommunications environment (3G, 4G and 5G CORE) or customer services and support on 2nd Level or Planning & Design or Build activities
• Debugging knowledge, project implementation and network configuration
• Fluent in English, French speaking is a plus.
