Overview

My Client is currently in search of an accomplished Senior Manager of DevOps Engineering who will be entrusted with guiding our cloud infrastructure and continuous integration and development (CI/CD) practices. The individual stepping into this pivotal role will be instrumental to elevating our application of cloud-native technologies, while ensuring our systems are high-performing, scalable, available and reliable. This role will involve steering a dedicated team of DevOps engineers, and working intimately with developers, product managers, and varied cross-functional teams to deliver on the infrastructure needs of a fast growing, innovative team.

What you’ll do:

-Lead the organizational and technical direction of our current and future infrastructure that powers the  products
-Lead and support a team of talented DevOps engineers
-Administer and manage cloud resources on AWS, incorporating DynamoDB, VPC, ElasticBeanstalk, EKS, S3, and Lambda, using -Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches through tools such as Terraform.
-Work in close tandem with developers and product managers, equipping engineering and product teams with the tools needed to efficiently deliver premium-quality features to our customers.
-Carefully plan, track, and report on work of the team, identifying problems early.
-Be conversant in systems design/architecture, can reason about trade-offs, and ultimately own & defend technical decisions / technical direction for your team
-Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to DevOps, cloud computing, and CI/CD methodologies.

What you'll bring: 

-10+ years of combined engineering management experience and relevant Devops industry experience in a fast paced tech environment.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
-Expertise in AWS and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
-Effectively worked with senior leadership in setting strategic 6+ month direction.
-Retained, mentored and hired senior engineers and leaders with a track record of building productive, world-class engineering teams.
