Project Manager/Leader - Senior-RQ05846

Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Role:
·      Functional Senior Project Managers (PM) to lead a number of technology projects currently in the planning and procurement phase at the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Must Haves:
·      Demonstrated experience with complex business case/funding submissions and competitive procurements (i.e., Requests for Bids/Requests for Proposals) in the public sector context.
·      Demonstrated experience with large-scale technology projects.
·      Knowledge and understanding of public sector governance and budget processes.
·      Experience at a senior level in order to guide multifaceted projects during their initial phases.
·      Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of privileged/sensitive information.

Assets:
·      Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices.
·      Past experience project managing with law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior PM will:
a.        Provide oversight and leadership for the overall project to implement within the OPP.
b.        Confirm all relevant technical support requirements for a success implementation of projects at the OPP

c.         If required, prepare business cases to secure funding approval for any required supporting requirements.
d.        Coordinate between multi-vendors and cross government agencies.
e.        Provide guidance and support to all sub-project leads and technical personnel.
g.         Identify and manage critical interdependencies related to key deliverables and timelines.
h.        Develop and deliver executive communications, regularly presenting to senior management.
i.          Manage escalations related to overall project plan execution.
j.          Manage risks and issues related to the deployment of technology projects at the OPP.
k.         Oversee stakeholder engagement to ensure collaboration.


Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
·      Experience with public sector business case/funding acquisition and competitive procurements.
·      Knowledge and experience in project-managing large-scale technology deployment initiatives.
·      Experience gathering technical requirements for multifaceted technology projects.
·      Experience managing large-scale, complex, integrated project plans and implementation plans.
·      Experience in identifying project scope and managing stakeholder expectations.
·      Experience managing executive relationships and dealing with senior executives.
·      Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·      Knowledge of fiscal/budgeting elements of technology projects.
·      Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills.
·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·      Track record of meeting deadlines.
