RQ05547 - Project Manager/Leader - Junior

Responsibilities: 
The Level 1 Project Manager will:
·      Support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in the management of activities on various projects.
·      Perform day-to-day project coordination and administration activities such as tracking, reporting, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks, following up on action items, taking meeting minutes, updating project schedules using MS Project Online.
·      Work collaboratively with other groups to ensure optimal integration as required

Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Must Haves:
·      Minimum 3 years experience in IT project management
·      Experience with Radio technology projects
·      Experience in Public safety especially in a dispatch environment (Ambulance, Fire, Police)
·      Experience with project managing in a public sector and politically sensitive organizations


Deliverables:
·      Assist in the creation of project artefacts, including scorecard updates, status reports, and provide input to management reports
·      Perform analysis using tools such as Excel.
·      Assist project managers with day to day tasks.
·      Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·      Skills and experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts such as risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, and meeting minutes.
·      Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders.
·      Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills.
·      Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
·      Skills and experience gathering data, performing analysis and building reports to support decision-making on project scope, schedule, cost data
·      Skills and experience reviewing and ensuring submitted documentation is complete and accurate.
·      A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlines
·      All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS. Clearance levels are as follows: Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) level 2.
·      Security Clearance process, levels, roles etc. are subject to change without prior notice. Candidates may be required to undergo revised/new process (or levels) anytime prior or during the term of the contract.  


Skills and Knowledge:
·      3 to 5 years skills and experience in I&IT project management.
·      Skills and experience building and maintaining detailed schedules in MS Project, ensuring activities are tracked to completion.
·      Skills and experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item tracking & follow-ups.
·      Skills and experience working independently and with both the business and technology teams.
·      High level of proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
·      Experience with Radio technology projects

CRITERIA (100 MAX)
Criteria 1 - Project Management and Coordination Skills 45 points
·      Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.
·      Demonstrated experience building and maintaining detailed schedules in MS Project, ensuring activities are tracked to completion.
·      Experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item tracking & follow-ups.
·      Experience working independently and with both the business and technology teams.
·      High level of proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Criteria 2 - Communication and Relationship Management 30 points
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·      Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts such as risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, and meeting minutes.
·      Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders
·      Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills.

Criteria 3 - Analytical and Problem Solving skills 25 points
·      Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
·      Experience gathering data, performing analysis and building reports to support decision-making on project scope, schedule, cost data
·      Experience reviewing and ensuring submitted documentation is complete and accurate.
·     A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlines

Knowledge to be transferred:
·      Completed Deliverables details
·      Processes used for Developing deliverables
·      Artifacts collected 

Knowledge to be transferred to:
·      Manager/ Team members

Details of Transfer:
·      1:1 meetings / team meetings / documentation on SharePoint site, throughout the duration of the project life cycle etc.
