The Data Strategy and Enablement team has started its journey towards enabling further digital transformation in our data and advanced analytics space. Composed of Data Engineers, Business Systems Analysts and Architects our team focuses on building and enabling best-in-class data platforms with a focus on migrating our assets from an on premise data lake to Google’s Cloud Platform.

Make use of your analytical skills and ability to analyze and assess the impact of data on upstream and downstream systems and help clarify and define cloud-related business processes and best practices across. Help architect the transformation and modernization of our enterprise data solutions and the integration of Google Cloud and native GCP services and 3rd party data technologies.
 
Here’s how
 
● Build, support and extend existing codebase, provision infrastructure and secure reliable data-centric services and applications in GCP
● Help integrate large datasets stemming from multiple data sources to be later used for data modeling
● Identify opportunities for and implement automation in the development and production process to reduce upfront hands-on work
● Capture issues with the data that impact key business drivers and relay them to the product management teams
 
What you bring
 
● You are a Senior Software developer with 8+ years of experience of IT platform implementation in a technical capacity
● Experience with Java/Kotlin and software engineering best practices
● Experience with GCP cloud platform
● You bring systems design experience with the ability to architect and explain complex systems interactions, data flows, common interfaces and APIs
● You bring a deep understanding of and experience with software development and programming languages such as Java/Kotlin, Shell scripting
● You have hands-on experience with the following technologies as a senior software developer:
- Java/Kotlin
- Spring, Spring Boot
- Wiremock
- Docker
- Terraform
- Pub Sub/ePubsub
- GCP services (Kubernetes, CloudSQL, PubSub, Storage, Logging, Dashboards)
- Oracle & Postgres
- SQL
- PgWeb
- Git
- Github & Github Actions

● GCP Professional Data Engineering certification
● DevOps practices and tools experience
