Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Senior Network Administrator will provide consistent levels of
technical expertise necessary for the successful design, implementation, maintenance and support of the
critical network, security and servers infrastructure services across our organization.
The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide advanced level technical support for troubleshooting,
implementing configuration changes and new technologies across a variety of platforms. You will be regularly working with business partners, escalation teams and managing vendors in ensuring operational readiness and smooth transitions to day-to-day operations, with associated KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and maintain the network infrastructure
- Conduct technology research in the areas of Network and Servers, protocols, hardware and software
- Plan, implement, operate, and optimize the IT infrastructure in local and remote environments following ITIL best practices and methodologies
- Define requirements, guidelines, standards, procedures and oversee the process of maintaining all necessary IT infrastructure documentation
- Performing audits for consistency in configurations, create and maintain Infrastructure documentation
- Optimize, continuously improve and evolve network systems, standards, and ROI
- Work closely with Cyber Security to ensure that deployments comply with all security standards
- Plan and manage the implementation of IT Infrastructure related projects
- Provide on-call and after-hours support on a rotating basis
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have demonstrably strong technical skills and hands-on experience with computer and server operating systems, in particular;
- Managing and administering Active Directory (AD), group policy updates, AD site configuration and
- major version upgrades
- Managing Windows Server OS (2008 R2 to 2019), VMWare 5.x and above.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols and security controls (Firewalls, IDS /IPS etc.)
- Managing Backup and Anti-virus software.
- Knowledge of PCI compliance
- Familiarity with managing Microsoft SQL Server
- Managing and Configuring Microsoft Windows 10,
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office 2019/365 software.
- Microsoft Office 365 Administration.
- Experience configuring and managing SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with Windows deployment toolkit and remote management technologies.
- Managing and configuring wireless and wired LAN technologies, routing, switching, Firewalls,
- VPN, VoIP and analogue telephony.
The successful applicant must have:
- A degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- 10 years of experience in IT support and management.
- Ability to work as part of a team with a strong service orientation
- Experience in a Hospitality environment is a huge asset
- Provide on-call and after-hours support on a rotating basis
