Key Responsibilities/Job Functions:
•
Continue to cultivate opportunities to build and improve on our relationships with our provincial permit approving authorities.
•
Communicate authority guidelines and standards updates, aid in any required design changes with various departments.
•
Provide updates which will be used for monthly municipal file review with extended VP and Director teams within Rogers.
•
Liaise with various municipal authorities and communicate our issues and requirements, remove road blocks in order to receive approvals in a timely manner.
•
Improve and strengthen the permit approval process with the various agencies as required. Conduct daily and weekly follow-ups as required to receive priority approvals. Follow up on all outstanding permits as required by Wireless business to ensure network builds are completed on time and in a cost effective manner.
•
Track all aspects of the municipal project including project scoping, resource assignment, project plan development, project tracking, monitoring and reporting through the application of proven project management principles and methodologies.
•
Ensure all municipal project documentation is maintained.
•
Identify benefits expected from initiatives and conduct post implementation reviews to report on and track results.
•
Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage potential risks that will arise. Communicate these to the stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure decisions are made quickly and effectively.
•
Assist in the development of templates, procedures and processes as part of the continuous development of the Network Implementation team
Job Qualifications:
•
3+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in municipal management, preferably in projects associated with the deployment or implementation of services for customers.
•
Post-secondary education, preferably in a business administration or planning management related discipline.
•
Completely conversant in Microsoft Project and other MS Office tools.
•
High level of energy and strong passion to ensure the delivery of a positive customer experience.
•
Great attention to detail. Creativity, flexibility and an ability to manage time and reset priorities in a dynamic environment.
Superior skill set including:
•
Analytical thinking and problem solving, presentation and facilitation, negotiation and relationship building and proficient probing, listening and positioning skills.
•
Experience working with local municipality Staff in reviewing development proposals
Experience reviewing guidelines, policies and land use-bylaws
