ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting to the company’s senior leadership, priorities for this role include:
Identifying and contacting potential new customers through lead research and prospecting activities with a primary focus on eCommerce.
Overcoming objections and identifying viable solutions.
Carrying out the solution development and quoting process for MacMillan service offerings, in concert with management, including leading the proposal process when required.
Acting as a primary point of contact to potential customers during contract negotiation.
Ensuring a smooth buying experience for customers.
Assisting with customer onboarding, if and/or when requested by management
Pro-actively contacting assigned customers to expand the services and solutions currently offered.
Participating in marketing activities as needed and required.
Pro-actively gathering feedback from customers for use in various business initiatives.
Tracking and reporting on all sales activities in a format requested by management.
Effective funnel mangement and opportunity forecasting.
Some travel, including overnight travel is required.
Qualified candidates will have the following skills and demonstrated track record:
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma
Minimum 3 years supply chain, logistics or warehousing sales experience or 5 years of other B2B services sales experience
Working knowledge of eCommerce and retail organizations, especially their supply chain and warehousing requirements
High degree of integrity
Prior experience in sales funnel management and forecasting
Strong communication skills – including written, listening and informing
Customer service focused
Highly self-motivated, working under minimal supervision and hungry for success
Thorough and attentive to details
Flexible, punctual and organized
Adherence to performance measures
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Hubspot and other business applications.
