Senior Insights Analyst

Reporting into the Director of Marketing, the Senior Insights Analyst would be responsible for driving both Marketing and Merchandising analysis to improve performance, efficiency, and effectiveness in both areas of the business. The ideal candidate would be able to support the Executive Team in the execution of Marketing and Merchandising strategy, metrics, reporting, and dashboard recommendations. Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising/Category Management Analytics
  • Responsible for establishing core category management reporting metrics.
  • Produce and review category reports, identifying trends and insights to support merchandising decisions.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on subjects such as category profitability, in-store space allocation efficiencies, seasonal inventory allocations and other focused areas of evaluation related to category management.
Organizational Standard Reporting
  • Assist with the design and running of standard reports within Tableau ranging from: KPI dashboards, marketing channel performance, loyalty program usage, customer segment activity, operational activity support, etc.
  • Work closely with IT to assist in the design, development, and on-going growth of the central data warehouse. Provide input on data elements to capture report data needs, custom data cubes, etc.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on report design in support of a broad set of organizational requirements focused on understanding business performance, including post campaign analysis.
  • Support customer focused analytical reporting and evaluations (segmentation, profitability, and behaviour-based views).
  • Use Google Analytics to develop and evaluate website, and social media KPI’s and behaviour.
Ad-hoc Analytical Support
  • Provide insights to stakeholders on individual ad-hoc analytical projects.
  • Responsible for evaluating business problems and designing and implementing data driven solutions.
  • Become an expert in understanding the data available within various platforms in order to support driving insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3-5 years in an analytics role, preferably at a retailer.
  • Familiar with traditional category management and customer segment evaluation metrics and KPI’s.
  • Data management and report design experience preferred.
  • Tableau experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate, listen and communicate effectively to achieve goals.
