Sr. Interaction Designer 3 - 16755

On this role with our client, you will work with a team that includes a passionate group of strategists, designers, full stack developers, content managers, scrum masters, testers, product owners, people experience specialists, and other digital experts.

Bringing your passion and experience in all things UX, you’ll play an integral part in solving business challenges and championing customer centric cross-platform experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with teams of passionate individuals who are on a mission to empower our customers in managing their  services easily. With a focus on design systems, you will lead the charge in creating, documenting and maintaining native app design component libraries while aligning with the larger Brand and Design Systems teams.

Here’s how
  • Create world class digital experiences through:
  • Defining and standardizing reusable design patterns and components specifically supporting  iOS and Android experiences
  • Setting standards for shared design patterns and components for other  apps
  • Evangelizing processes that promote collaboration, pairing, and training
  • Utilizing research methods to assess the efficacy of the app design system and understand our customer needs
  • Advocating for accessibility standards and inclusive design principles

Actively solve problems by:
  • Breaking design challenges down into viable actionable chunks and solving them with clarity and precision.
  • Engaging in the lean development life-cycle from discovery to testing, release and maintenance.
  • Working cross-functionally across teams to:
  • Establish, build, and maintain a comprehensive library of shared components
  • Craft and maintain documentation and guidance on how and why components, styles, and patterns are applied in code and design.
  • Expertly present recommendations to team members on functionality, content, and navigation that are considerate of the iterative process.

You're the missing piece of the puzzle
  • Mastery and passion for UX
  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating deep systems thinking
  • You have excellent interaction and visual design skills, with an eye for detail around typography, visual hierarchy, layout, and brand systems
  • 5+ years of experience in product design including building and evolving an effective design system for native/mobile applications. Web is a plus!
  • Known for your strong ability to recognize, predict and incorporate range of use-cases from happy path to edge cases in your designs
  • Broad domain knowledge of design industries and platforms
  • Passionate about modern design practices and methodologies, but flexible enough to think outside the box when required.
  • Expert knowledge of industry best practices and use of tools
  • You have a deep understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Design.
  • You’re comfortable using Figma, Google Suite, Miro or any other whiteboarding tools
  • Exceptional understanding of mobile devices, native gestures and best practice - what works best for mobile (or doesn’t work) and why.
  • Well-versed in lean digital product development lifecycles in a highly-collaborative, agile environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • You’re able to communicate design rationale and build consensus
  • You’re a self-motivated team player who thrives on collaborating with cross functional teams
  • You’re an expert with time management and organizational skills and have the flexibility to handle a rapidly changing environment while delivering high quality results.

Must to have skills:
1. 5+ years in Design and Design Systems
2. Background in Visual Design
3. Experience in an Agile environment, particularly lean development

Nice to have skills:
1. Experience in mobile or native app
2. Experience in UI
3. Familiar with accessibility standards
