Business Analyst

Activity A: Support: 0 - 20 ( %)
• Application trouble shooting & debugging. Report/communicate & track
problems/solutions.
Activity B: Testing: 0 - 15 ( %)
• Work from provided specifications. Create test plans & scripts. Execute tests.
Interact with co-workers/users/clients.
Activity C: Training/Mentoring 15 - 30 ( %)
• Assist co-workers. Transfer special skills. Write & compile training material. Conduct
training sessions. Train clients/users and do self-training and/or review relevant
documents.
Activity D: Design/ Analysis: 15 - 30 ( %)
• Review, analyze & understand specifications. Consider & recommend options.
Document structure charts, data models, etc. using case tools. Comply with
department / industry standards. Conduct design review.
Activity E: Business Analysis: 30 - 40 ( %)

• Analyze & document business processes and requirements. Review, recommend &
select system solution. Manage client/user expectations. Manage issues & political
environment. Arbitrate between various players. Work with clients & vendors. Assist
users to formulate & write new policies & procedures
• Assists in the development and monitoring of systems, structures, and practices in
place to meet quality control and quality assurance standards.
Activity F: Project Management: 0 - 40 ( %)
• Gathers data related to system design and application, and contributes to the
design, development, testing, modification, documentation and implementation of
systems.
• Participates in project teams or assists with project management responsibilities,
such as ensuring timely delivery of products and services by tracking project
activities, timelines and project deliverables.

b. Qualifications
• Community College Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or other
equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience
• Experience in performing business process analysis and ability to identify areas for
business improvement;
• A flexible and adaptable team player that is service and deliverables oriented;
• Ability to facilitate working sessions with large user community and obtain agreed to
functional/design requirements;
• Strong change management skills (communications, process change, training preparation
and delivery);
• Experience in developing procedures;
• Data manipulation in Excel;
• Experience with QA testing and validation of functional requirements;
• Experience documenting and tracking functional issues;
c. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in developing procedures;
• Strong business process modeling and process re-engineering skills;
• Experience with implementation of systems in clinical environment;
• Experience documenting workflows and identifying business/functional requirements;
• Experience with QA testing and validation of functional requirements;
• Experience documenting and tracking functional issues;
• Experience within healthcare would be an asset
• Experience analyzing data using tools such as MS Excel, MS PowerBI, etc.
• Experience leading small scale projects or initiatives through the project life cycle;
• Experience in performing business process analysis and ability to identify areas for
business improvement;
• A flexible and adaptable team player that is service and deliverables oriented;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Visio;
• Experience in helping clients and users in designing, building, deploying and adopting
collaborative solutions
