Our client is need of a Product Manager 2 for an initial 12-month contract in Vancouver, BC.
With so much content out there, people are finding it increasingly difficult to find something to watch quickly and easily. The platform interface and personalization play a huge part in helping customers get to the content they care about faster and as the Product Specialist on the Content Marketing & Merchandising team, you will be a key part in helping to solve this puzzle.
You’ll have an immediate impact on the client’s business by identifying and executing on improving merchandising capabilities to improve. You will work closely with the Products & Services team to manage and evolve the on-screen merchandising interface which is a key customer TV interface. Additionally, you will be responsible for the operational and programming process for merchandising.
This is not a technical role but requires a technical affinity, you will work and communicate with technical teams
-As a Content Merchandising Evangelist, you participate in assessments and support the project and aid in planning and implementation
-Support the preparation of presentation decks on key issues and risks surrounding the business and deliver key messages to key stakeholders
-Participate in multi-disciplinary cross functional teams to assess, plan, prioritize, and implement new content or feature introductions
-Create product feature adoption forecasts, revenue projections
-Coordinate the merchandising schedule with Marketing Managers and Technical Strategy teams to ensure changes are reflected on the platform accurately and timely.
-Provide detailed QA for all merchandising changes across all platforms to ensure they are performing as expected as well as taking ownership of troubleshooting as required

Must Have Skills:
-A University degree in Business or Marketing with more than 2 years of relevant experience in Product Management
-Proficiency with multi-platform video content (web, tablet, smartphone)
-A passion for a movies & TV series
-Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile service development and project management processes.
-Fast learner with an affinity for picking up new technologies quickly
-Strong attention to detail
Nice to have skills:
-Experience in a QA or Ops oriented roll
