Our client is need of a Product Manager 2 for an initial 12-month contract in Vancouver, BC.
With so much content out there, people are finding it increasingly difficult to find something to watch quickly and easily. The platform interface and personalization play a huge part in helping customers get to the content they care about faster and as the Special Projects Product Manager on the Content Marketing & Merchandising team, you will be a key part in helping to solve this puzzle.
As the client scales up their merchandising efforts across their customer base, they are going to need a robust UI that will leverage intelligent recommendation engines to drive relevant and personalized content discovery. This role bridges the business and technical worlds as the client design, build and enable these merchandising capabilities that will create a best-in-class customer experience while achieving the best business outcomes for organization. Through collaboration with cross functional stakeholders, you will lead assessments, support the definition of projects and aid in writing, grooming and prioritization of user stories. Your efforts will deliver more intelligent merchandising solutions and drive increased, higher value engagement for the customers.
While this is not a technical role you will have the ability to grasp technical concepts and translate them seamlessly to different audiences to ensure stakeholder support for Content Merchandising initiatives.
What you will do:
You will immerse yourself in the clients TV platforms and become an expert in merchandising
Participate in multi-disciplinary cross functional teams to assess, plan, prioritize, and implement new content or feature introductions
Help identify areas of opportunity to implement process improvements in order to maximize operating efficiencies
You will support testing and QA of implemented features
Provide insight into key business drivers, trends and performance indicators and presenting them to senior leaders to influence decision-making
Prepare presentation decks on key issues and risks surrounding the business and deliver key messages to key stakeholders
Manage product documentation and key product artifacts

Post-secondary education in Commerce/Business/Marketing or a related discipline with more than 5 years of relevant experience
