Our client is need of a Product Manager 2 for an initial 12-month contract in Vancouver, BC.
With so much content out there, people are finding it increasingly difficult to find something to watch quickly and easily. The platform interface and personalization strategies play a huge part in helping customers get to the content they care about faster and as the Product Specialist on the Content Marketing & Merchandising team, you will be a key part in helping to solve this puzzle.
As the client scales their merchandising efforts across their customer base, they also are going to need big data analytics and you’ll be working with their Product & Services team to build users stories on how to integrate analytics to help inform and unlock pockets of growth. You will become the resident Content Engagement Expert with a keen ability to analyze, visualize and work with data. You also have a penchant for finding opportunities to achieve personalized merchandising that are automated, intelligent and eliminate manual, repetitive and non-value added tasks.
-You will collaborate with a range of stakeholders, such as Technology, Product Development, and Privacy involved with the solution delivery to plan and implement platform data enhancements
-Working with legacy data modules, you will identify and implement continuous improvement and future enhancements of existing reporting capabilities
-You will participate in project assessments and aid in building and prioritizing user stories
-You will also help create key product artefacts such as business case, scope, product requirements, and acceptance criteria for all future releases as well as lead development testing and performance tuning
-You will prepare leadership presentation decks on key issues and risks surrounding the business and deliver key messages to senior-level audiences
-You will support the execution and implementation of impact analyses of project requirements or change requests from an end-to-end perspective while identifying impacts to all applicable upstream and downstream systems
What you Bring:
-You have expert knowledge and understanding of global best practices in business intelligence, performance reporting and supporting tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Excel, Google Suite, Google Sheets)You love digging into quantitative and qualitative data; you analyze it, pivot it and distill issues to their core to provide the best possible performance reports and channel insights
-You are recognized for your curiosity and growth mindset
-You see the bigger picture of the problem you are trying to solve, and will proactively out new data points from varied sources (external and internal) to complement your analysis
-You have excellent attention to detail, a structured approach to analysis and the ability to develop logical arguments
Strong understanding of Data Products, Data capabilities such as analytics, applied AI, and Data Management Principles.

Experience in any combination of product management, software development and technical project management

Proficiency with multi-platform video content (web, tablet, smartphone)
Familiarity with automated data collection and data storage systems
Deep understanding of Web and API architecture / product design
