As UX/UI Designer, you will be collaborating with internal teams to enhance our interfaces in order to drive customer engagement. As a custodian of the customer experience, you will be responsible for enhancing our customer experience through new features and functionality, and by introducing best practices and standards in today’s modern digital experience.
As UX/UI Designer, you will be collaborating with internal teams to enhance our interfaces in order to drive customer engagement. As a custodian of the customer experience, you will be responsible for enhancing our customer experience through new features and functionality, and by introducing best practices and standards in today’s modern digital experience.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing and other teams to develop a wide variety of digital projects, such as websites and mobile/web applications.
- Take hypotheses, user stories, & customer insights and translating them into initial concepts, wireframes, and polished interface designs for a wide range of screen sizes
- Lead UX/UI research through design thinking workshops to find insights to improve the prepaid digital experience
- Produce style guidelines defining a product or website’s visual design identity.
- Recognize when to balance business needs and design aesthetic against UX/UI best practices.
- Understand and internalize the telecommunication industry, competitive space, business model, and user types.
- Self-manage and prioritize tasks, and proactively communicate status and challenges.
- Articulate and document your designs in a logical and organized manner for hand-off to developers.
- Help scope projects and participate in project definition phases with a customer first lens.


Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer building responsive applications for enterprise with mobile and web applications
- Strong passion for the “why” and “what” of design
- Familiarity with industry tools sucks as Sketch, InVision, Figama and Adobe CC
- Experience in an applied research setting including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
- A personal portfolio demonstrating your understand of “customer-first” design initiatives
Experience coding in HTML, CSS and Javascript is an asset.

Must to have skills: 

• 3+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer building responsive applications for enterprise with mobile and web applications
• Familiarity with industry tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figama and Adobe CC
• Take hypotheses, user stories, & customer insights and translating them into initial concepts, wireframes, and polished interface designs for a wide range of screen sizes
• Lead UX/UI research through design thinking workshops to find insights to improve the prepaid digital experience
• Produce style guidelines defining a product or website’s visual design identity
• Must be a Canadian citizen, legal permanent resident, or otherwise have valid residency status in Canada which allows you to work in Canada

Nice to have skills:

1. Experience coding in HTML, CSS and Javascript is an asset.
2. Understand and internalize the telecommunication industry, competitive space, business model, and user types.
3. Self-manage and prioritize tasks, and proactively communicate status and challenges

Preferred Professional Designation/Certification:

BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), Systems Design / Human Factors Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
