Program Manager (Project Management Director / Band VI)- 128960

Role: Transformation & Process Senior Leader

Key Responsibilities/Job Functions:
- Manage & drive the transition of inhouse programs to external partners
- Responsible for the planning, development, sourcing and implementation of project initiatives that utilize information technology solutions. Other responsibilities include the project coordination, development of plans and schedules, resource management, including team member selection, estimation and project maintenance.
-Projects may be global in nature, address a local need or may be specific to the needs of a single business unit.
-Project Managers are expected to develop metrics, communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide direction to the project team, conduct regular status meetings to review project activities, and communicate timely updates to leadership. Furthermore, they are responsible for managing scope changes (i.e., change management) and project acceptance procedures. Project Managers ensure that project initiatives meet leadership and/or customer expectations.
-It is desirable that Project Managers are certified in Project Management and it is expected that they provide the highest level of expertise in the application of project management tools and techniques. Project Managers require highly developed analytic, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage colleagues, along with a broad understanding of the businesses they support. Project Managers require understanding of the Project Management Methodology and standards as a repeatable approach to the work and responsibilities. Project Managers are ultimately accountable to any successes or failures related to a project under their management.

-Manages strategic direction setting and overall program management for highly complex programs with high impact at the firm level.
-Supervises development and communication of Steering Committee Reports
-Accountable to the executives and /or Steering Committee of both ITS and the business.
-Reviews deliverables and manages risk continually throughout the program to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
-Takes steps to resolve items that may affect schedule.
-Approves the CA and budget content.
-Obtains senior level approval and signature (includes presentation at all levels ITS, Business Sponsors, and Steering Committees).
-Ensures end deliverables are of quality and meet the objectives.
-Validates mitigation plans, communicates risks and manages expectations of / to senior leadership.
-Sets and manages expectations of business stakeholders and executive sponsors.
-Determines requirements for senior level communications
-Validates and creates communications and executes on the plan.

-Establishes and maintains project governance.
-Facilitates open information flows among stakeholders.
-Resolves issues.
-Defines, collects, monitors, and analyzes project metrics.
-Manages project performance.
-Manages issues tracking, ownership, and resolutions.
-Runs high level project meetings
-Manages reporting and sign-off with several stakeholders.
-Manages the change requests process and ensures impacts are integrated into plans.
-Ensures adherence to project management standards and best practices.
Identifies all resources required in each to support the project activities.
-Identifies resource issues
-Provide mitigation action.
-Determines resources required in the non-IT deliverables (i.e. business readiness).
-Creates governance structure required to manage the project to completion.
-Communicates status and reports to the Steering Committee and senior level management.
-Ensures projects align with the business and IT strategies at the project to firm level.
-Manages construction and implementation for several highly complex programs.
-Manages the high-level work schedule and work assignments.
-Ensures that project plans are updated.
-Accountable for meeting budget, timelines, and resource commitments.
-Manages project close-out for several highly complex programs as phases are completed.
-Manages post implementation review.
-Identifies lessons learned.
-Conducts walk-through with stakeholders (Business and IT).
-Ensures that project resources are re-deployed.
-Ensures operationalization of deliverables is completed

-Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a senior leader (i.e. Senior Director, Junior VP) who can communicate with senior leadership teams
-5+ years experience driving offshoring & rightshoring programs
- Demonstrates ability to navigate through major projects from the idea inception, through pre-planning activities and up to project closure.
-Demonstrates expertise in existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management methodologies.
-Contributes to improvements in life cycle based on lessons learned and past experience.
-Knowledgeable in Telecom and Telecom Networks.
-Undergraduate degree, required. Graduate degree required.
-Recognition earned among peers in industry.
