Network Analyst II

Career Opportunity: Network Analyst, Network Programs and Readiness
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Network Analyst, Networks Programs and Readiness, located in our Calgary office.  This position will be accountable for the technical readiness and reporting of various strategic projects and initiatives to ensure efficient and successful implementation.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project planning meetings ensuring high level planned delivery timelines are achievable based on technology dependencies, effort estimates and technical prioritization
  • Monitor technical changes in integration planning stages and assess impacts to the technology teams
  • Create and present network health reports as well as trending data
  • Host meetings providing guidance to our field operations teams
  • Review and validate technology solution accuracy, completeness, and readiness (i.e. Network Design, Alignment with Building Technical Services, technology/device capabilities)
  • Review and validate implementation cases/tasks that are ready for execution based on preceding task completions (inter/intra project dependencies) and redirect or provide solutions when required
  • Pro-actively redirect cases/tasks that conflict with the solution accuracy, completeness, and readiness of preceding dependent cases/tasks to designated teams
  • Spearhead, coordinate and direct troubleshooting requirements for major projects as required
  • Review change control learnings and identify solution options to improve the quality and timeliness of implementation deliverables
  • Provide network update communications to stakeholders
  • Suggest alternate solutions when at risk processes or changes identified
  • Escalate issues and concerns to key stakeholders along with recommendations
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a computer related discipline (in a networking background) complemented by 1-2 years of related experience. A combination of education and network experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of plant and access network technologies including but not limited to; CMTS, DOCSIS, routing, switching, TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, Ethernet and RF
  • Familiarity with various network/device monitoring/reporting platforms
  • Ability to create and present network KPI reports
  • Ability to adapt and grow with new technologies holistically
  • Exceptional problem solving, organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to highlight and suggest process improvements
  • Ability to facilitate effective meetings
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Goal oriented with the ability to work and maintain momentum in a fast paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment in prioritizing work
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • The ability to handle challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity
