Quality Assurance Analyst – Advanced
Position Purpose:
An Advanced Quality Assurance Analyst executes standardized, repeatable procedures to ensure information system products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.
Will design, develop and conduct test plans and test cases on applications to ensure they are operating properly and are free from defeat. Responsible for work-flow analysis and making quality improvement recommendations.
Will document problems and work with the developers and analysts to find a solution.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
  • Test system modifications
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives
  • Walkthrough the QA test results with the QA team and communicate status to Project Leaders
  • Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
  • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developer
  • Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
  • Create and maintain databases of known test defects
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field
  • The Advanced Quality Assurance Analyst must have several years of business systems experience to perform well in this role
  • 3-6 years experience in quality assurance programs/project
  • 3-6 years programming experience
  • Experience in financial services – would be an asset
