Manager - Cyber Security Operations (T-17083469)

Job Overview:
As the Manager of Cyber Security Operations, the resource will guide the technical team responsible for the operations, fulfilment, and assurance of cyber security infrastructure, platforms, and applications critical to protecting client. As a visionary leader, you will drive the strategic transformation to NextGen operations & automation in a DevOps environment.
  • As an Effective Leader, you will:
    • Drive a high engagement high performance culture
    • Provide strong support to the team members, to achieve the goals, during challenging times such as incident response, troubleshooting, degradation mitigation
  • As a Subject Matter Expert, you will:
    • Manage the strategic cyber security infrastructure, platforms, applications critical to protecting client, including but not limited to Firewalls, Intrusion Detection & Protection System, Email Security, Web Security, DDoS prevention, wireless security, Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, 2FA, VPN Aggregators, Certificate and Key Management, HSM, monitoring tools
    • Collaborate with the Research & Development team in designing and deploying new cyber security infrastructure, platforms, and applications, and the on-going life cycle management of these
    • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure Cyber Security infrastructure, platforms, and applications perform reliably and service degradations are minimized
    • Partner with vendor management & vendors on Maintenance & Support (M&S) requirements and develop vendor scorecards and provide regular feedback on quality of vendor’s operational support
  • As a Strategist, you will:
    • Proactively plan for operations and assurance needs, including NextGen tools and automation such as dynamic asset management, configuration and patch automation, fault and capacity monitoring, trouble-ticketing, and synthetic monitoring
  • As a Project & Resource Manager, you will:
    • Provide project coordination and management support including prioritize resourcing needs for competing projects based on business priorities and time-to-market considerations
    • Plan and manage operating budget (opex) for the team

  • Understanding of software defined networking and system virtualization technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN) & network functions virtualization (NFV)
  • Familiarity with critical infrastructure assurance policies and best practices including Change Management, Event Management, and Incident Management
  • Ability to develop and maintain device health information, proactive monitoring data, and preventative maintenance plans
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering, or Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Understanding of telecommunications (wireless & wireline) and Information Technology (IT)/Data Center environments
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation
  • Professional Security certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), SANS, etc
